I choose places that I feel an energy connection to and that aligns with our family and the needs of our trips. With small kids, you find out really quickly the non-kid-friendly elements fast. That can add a lot of stress but our stay on Kauai was filled with peace and calmness to regroup for our adventure-filled days. Comfort Meets Convenience: A Family Adventure at A Honu World
As an adventure mom, I know how vital it is to find a home away from home that caters to my family's every need while allowing us to create unforgettable memories. At A Honu World, we have discovered the perfect blend of comfort and convenience designed just for families. The nature that surrounds the condo is amazing. It is in a quiet condo complex with inviting warm yellow exteriors. I love how it isn't busy and I feel like I can keep my toddlers safe without a lot of traffic and people around.
The moment we walked into our condo, we felt the welcoming embrace of spaciousness and warmth. The fully equipped kitchen, recently remodelled, was just what I needed to unleash my inner mama chef with using local ingredients and fruits . Whether whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a family meal, having this culinary haven made our stay even more special. After our meals, we gathered in the cozy living area equipped with FAST WiFi and a Smart TV to enjoy our favorite shows on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. The kids had Moana playing on repeat. And let’s not forget the dreamy Queen-sized beds that cradled us each night, surrounded by the soothing sounds of Kauai’s tranquil wildlife. The lush forest was incredibly peaceful each night and morning. The little porch space was my favourite with a cup of fresh brewed vanilla macadmia coffee.
Seamless Island Adventures Await
What I love most about A Honu World is that adventure is always just around the corner! It is very close to the grocery store and family-friendly dining establishments. There is a leisurely 15-20 minute stroll along the beautiful Old Club Med Trail leads you to a secluded beach that feels like our own personal paradise too. It’s the perfect spot for beach exploration with the kids. Be sure to stop by the Nourish farmstand on your way to indulge in some delicious Kauai-style dining—it's a culinary delight that leaves a lasting impression. I loved the Acia bowls a lot and my kids were shaved-ice obsessed.
I love planning nature-based activities with the kids and we packed along our backpacking paint set to create our own postcards together on our favourite beach. Just click on the images if you are wanting a link to the paint set. You can take it camping and it has a pen brush that is super handy for painting with kids.
Fun for Every Family Member
There's truly something for everyone here! The condo is stocked with beach gear—chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards—ensuring we had everything we needed for a fantastic day under the sun. My boys could boogie board into the dark. They loved having a boogie board included with our stay. When we were ready for some indoor fun, there were a variety of board games, puzzles, and books to choose from. Plus, with the split AC units, everyone stayed comfy and cool, making it easy to relax after a long day of adventure. There is also some extra baby items in the closets for your comfort as well.
Immerse Yourself in Local Beauty
The condo offers breathtaking garden views from the windows. The harmonious sounds of Kauai’s unique wildlife serenaded us, helping us unwind and appreciate the serene environment. Nature connection is my top priority when travelling with kids so that was certainly found in this space. We also loved that we could easily access local shops, eateries, and grocery stores with just a short walk or drive.
