100 Hikes Into Motherhood because Motherhood Belongs Outdoors
An outdoor mom's postpartum journey. A movement to bring motherhood outdoors.
Come hike into motherhood with me.
Hi, I'm Adrianna!
An outdoor adventure mom of three and founder of Kids Who Explore. I'm passionate about breaking down barriers to outdoor adventure, challenging the expectations of motherhood, and inspiring more families to get outside and explore together. Because I've always believed that adventures don't end when motherhood begins.

Through my own journey into motherhood, I've come to understand just how much our lives can change, how vulnerable our mental health can be, and how easy it is to lose pieces of ourselves along the way.
When I first became a mom, I was determined not to leave my love for the outdoors behind. But I also discovered how much we need connection, encouragement, and a community to lean on through it all.
That experience became a big part of why I founded Kids Who Explore. I wanted to create a space where mothers didn't have to choose between motherhood and adventure, where they could find friendships, feel supported, and continue discovering the newest versions of themselves.
Because behind all the beautiful moments of motherhood, there's also the exhaustion, the healing, the emotional ups and downs, and the quiet loneliness that so many mothers experience but don't always talk about.
There's something about finding yourself on the trail again after becoming a mother. You slowly find your hiking legs, discover this new version of yourself, and get to experience the outdoor world you love all over again through the eyes of your tiniest explorer.
Along the way, you find other mothers who understand you. The ones who would rather meet at a trailhead than a coffee shop, who don't mind stopping a hundred times for little legs, and who remind you that you don't have to figure out motherhood alone.
I've experienced firsthand just how much community can change motherhood. Some of my greatest friendships have come from the trails, and those women have carried me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. It's something I wish every mother could experience, and one of the reasons I care so deeply about growing the Hiking Mom Network.
Why 100 Hikes Into Motherhood?
Following the arrival of my third son, Miller, I'm setting out on 100 hikes to share my postpartum journey, inspire more mothers to get outside, and raise awareness about the importance of maternal mental health, healing, and community connection. Because no mother should have to find her way through motherhood alone.
Through 100 videos on Adrianna Adventures, I'll be sharing the how behind hiking with a baby, from the gear and preparation to the challenges, little victories, and everything I'm learning along the way.

I'm not doing this to bounce back or prove how quickly I can return to the mountains. I'm doing it to make space for healing, mental health, connection, and discovering who I'm becoming in this new season of motherhood.
Some hikes might take Miller and me into the mountains, while others might be a gentle trail close to home. I'll be listening to my body, allowing myself time to heal, and embracing whatever each stage of postpartum brings.
But these 100 hikes were never meant to be about me alone.

Motherhood Belongs Outdoors.
Motherhood Belongs Outdoors is a movement for all moms.
I want to see a world where mothers feel just as welcome on the trail as they did before having children. Where getting outside with a baby feels possible, where friendships begin at trailheads, and where motherhood is celebrated as another chapter of adventure, not the end of it.
But I also know getting outside with a baby isn't always easy. Sometimes it's the logistics of packing everything up, the uncertainty of heading out alone, or simply not having another mom to call and say, "Want to go for a hike?"
And that's something I want to help change.
Because sometimes what we need most isn't a big adventure. It's fresh air, a little perspective, and another mother walking beside us.
How Moms Can Participate
Whether you're taking your first postpartum walk, chasing toddlers down a forest trail, or rediscovering your love for adventure with older kids, there's a place for you here.
From sidewalk to summit. From stroller to carrier. You don't need to complete 100 hikes, own fancy gear, or even consider yourself a hiker.
🥾 Get outside. Take a hike at your own pace, whether that's a short nature walk or a mountain adventure.
🤝 Bring another mom. Invite a friend, join a free meetup through @kidswhoexplore, or become a community host in your area.
📸 Share the movement. Post your outdoor motherhood moments using #MotherhoodBelongsOutdoors and tag @hikingmomnetwork for a chance to be featured.
Follow @adriannaadventures for my personal #100HikesIntoMotherhood journey and practical tips for hiking with a baby.
No deadlines. No distances. No pressure.
Just mothers encouraging mothers to get outside.
Finding Connection Along the Way
One of the most meaningful parts of building Kids Who Explore has been watching mothers arrive at our community meetups not knowing anyone and leave with new friendships, more confidence, and plans for their next adventure together.
Through Adrianna Adventures, Kids Who Explore, and the Hiking Mom Network, we're creating opportunities for mothers to connect both online and on the trail.

Whether you're looking for another mom to hike with, hoping to build confidence getting outdoors with your baby, or simply wanting to meet women who understand this season of life, there's a community waiting for you.
Our free local meetups are a wonderful place to start. You don't need to know anyone before coming, and you certainly don't need years of hiking experience.

Come Hike Into Motherhood With Me.
As Miller and I begin these next 100 hikes, I know they'll look different from the adventures I've known before. There will be slow days, hard days, beautiful days, and probably plenty of moments when getting out the door feels like the biggest adventure of all.
But I'm not setting out to find my way back to who I was before motherhood. I'm setting out to discover who I'm becoming.
And if somewhere along the way this movement helps another mother find a friend, reconnect with herself, or feel that she belongs outside, then these 100 hikes will have become something so much bigger than my own journey.

My 100 hikes. Thousands of mothers. One movement to bring motherhood outdoors.
Because motherhood belongs outdoors.
And adventures don't end when motherhood begins.
With love,
Adrianna
